This open forum meeting is sponsored by your local Montana Department of Revenue office.
The Department of Revenue will be mailing real property classification and appraisal notices by June 30, 2023. This notice does not serve as a tax bill, it only includes the Department’s determination of market value for your property for tax years 2023 and It is important that property owners review this notice and review the information about your property characteristics at Property.MT.gov.
It is also important to understand that even if your notice indicates that your property’s market value has increased over the past two years, this does not necessarily mean that your property taxes will go up the same percentage.
