Custer County is hosting a community preparedness training in the form of an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) training. Training will take place at the Custer County Fire Department over the course of 5 months.
Training starts January 14, 2025 and concludes May 22, 2025 with training 2 evenings a week, typically 6 pm to 9 pm.
Class will be limited to 10 persons. Individuals interested must apply to be accepted.
Cost of the training $100, the remainder of the tuition (approximately $1200) will be a scholarship funded by Custer County with the understanding that the successful applicant and graduate of the program will utilize the training within Custer County for at least one year.
Prerequisites:
Age 18
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
