NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: Sealed bids will be received by the Custer County Commissioners, Miles City, Montana in their offices at 1010 Main, Miles City, Montana, until April 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. for the construction of Agri-Sport Building – Wall and Roof / Insulation, Located at 42 Garryowen Road, Custer County, Miles City, Montana. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on April 17, 2024 at 10:00am.
STATE AND FEDERAL STATUTE COMPLIANCE: Each bidder will comply with all fair labor practices and state statutes.

BID SECURITY: Each bid will be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of not less than TEN PERCENT (10%) of the total amount of the bid.
PERFORMANCE, LABOR & MATERIAL BOND: Successful bidders shall, upon signature of the contract, furnish an approved Performance Bond, and Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the contract.
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Prime and General contractor responsibilities, permitting, maintaining budgets, schedules and reporting on a regular basis.
- Quality of construction and execution is paramount.
- Existing 140’ x 250’ x 16’ Steel frame building to be reroofed and resided with new Insulation panels.
- Remove and dispose of existing Steel Siding from all sides
- Wall Insulation: R-Seal (Therm-All) 1.5” thick R9.8 Polyurethane core Insulation Tongue and Groove Panel with WMPVR vapor barrier both sides installed to existing steel wall frame
- Provide and Install 26 gauge colored PBR steel siding secured to steel frame with neoprene self-taping screws
- Remove and dispose of existing Steel Roofing
- Roof Insulation: R-Seal (Therm-All) 1.5” thick R9.8 Polyurethane core Insulation Tongue and Groove Panel with WMPVR vapor barrier both sides installed to existing steel roof frame
- Provide and Install 26 gauge colored PBR steel roofing secured to steel frame with neoprene self-taping screws
- Entry Awning 18’-4” x 10’-6
i. Remove and dispose of existing roofing and trim
ii. Provide and install 26 gauge colored PBR steel roofing secured to steel frame with neoprene self-taping screws - Siding and Roofing ribs to be enclosed with appropriate closures and trims per manufacturer.
- Roof Plumbing vents sealed with master flash boots
d. Gutters:
1. Remove and dispose of existing gutters and downspouts
2. Provide and install 6” Style-K Gutter with wrap strap and (5) 3×4 downspouts per side.
e. Doors:
1. All Entry hinged doors to remain in place.
2. Remove and Replace Overhead Doors with following:
i. (4) 14’2″ x 14′ Clopay model 524V Overhead Door, styrene insulated, R-value 6.4, white, solid, 2″ reverse angle track, 15″ radius, torsion.
ii. (2) Genie model GCL-T with 14′ chain rail. 1/2 HP standard duty commercial trolley operator. Photo eye safety sensors, 3 button wall station, Antennae kit
iii. (3) 8’2″ x 8′ Clopay model 525V, styrene insulated, R-value 6.4, white, solid, 2″ reverse angle track, 81″ high lift, torsion,
f. HVAC:
1. (6) 36” x 36” exhaust seal tight dampers with actuators
2. 24” intake seal tight dampers with actuators max quantity (10)
3. Electrical wiring and hookup
g. Electrical:
1. Exterior fixtures to be removed and stored for siding project
2. Reinstall fixtures and seal
PRE-BID WALK-THRU: A pre-bid walk-thru for General Contractors and Mechanical and Electrical Subcontractors, will be held on April 9, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for at least THIRTY (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instructions to Bidders.
RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the proposal which best serves the interests of the Owner.
AWARD OF BIDS: Contract for construction will be awarded after the bid are reviewed by the commissioners.
